FAQs

what is Drafted Agency?

Drafted is a full-service newsletter agency for social-first creators and founders. We help brands and individuals launch, design, and monetize their newsletters, from strategy and branding to sending, sponsorships, and monetization. We specialize in Beehiiv, but also work across other major newsletter platforms such as Kit, Substack, Mailchimp, Flodesk, and more.

Who are you best suited for?

We work with creators, influencers, and personal brands who already have an engaged audience on social media and want to build a deeper, owned connection with that audience through email. Our clients range from lifestyle and wellness creators to entrepreneurs, podcasters, and thought leaders.

What makes you different from other newsletter agencies?

Most newsletter agencies focus on traditional email marketing. We’re built for creators, influencers, and founders who’ve already built an audience—and want to own it. We turn your existing brand and content into distinctive newsletters with enough value and personality to stand on their own, while staying true to your voice and visual identity.

What services does you offer?

We offer full-service newsletter management, including:

  • Newsletter branding, design, and template setup

  • Content and send strategy (cadence, tone, topics)

  • Sponsorship sourcing and negotiation

  • Performance tracking and optimization

  • Launch campaigns and growth systems

We can either build everything from scratch or plug into your existing team or workflow.

How does your pricing work?

We operate on a revenue-share model with optional retainers , meaning no heavy upfront costs. You set up your email service provider and cover basic operating costs (often based on list size, and free to start), plus a percentage of revenue (through sponsorships, paid subscriptions, or personal product sales) once your newsletter is generating income.

Our model is designed to keep incentives fully aligned: we grow when you grow.

Why should creators invest in a newsletter?

Social platforms are rented space, newsletters are owned audience. A well-run newsletter lets creators deepen trust, diversify income, and drive long-term sponsorship or product revenue. We make that process effortless and strategic.

Can you help me get sponsors for my newsletter?

Yes! We actively source and negotiate sponsorships for our creator clients once their newsletter has consistent audience and engagement data. We have strong relationships with brands looking to advertise in creator-led newsletters, and we also help structure brand partnerships directly through the creator’s own deals.

Can you help if I already have a newsletter?

Absolutely. We can audit your existing newsletter, optimize your content and design, and introduce systems for better growth, engagement, and monetization. Many of our clients come to us after starting on their own but wanting to scale sustainably.

What does the onboarding process look like?

Our onboarding includes a Newsletter Blueprint, where we align on goals, voice, content strategy, design, and monetization. We then build your templates, warming sequence, and send schedule before launch. Most creators are fully launched within 1-2 months.

How can I work with you?

We take on a limited number of new creators each quarter to ensure quality and focus. You can apply through our site using the Waitlist Form, and if it’s a fit, we’ll reach out to schedule a discovery call.

Do you work with talent managers or agencies?

Yes. We often collaborate with creator management teams to integrate newsletters into their client’s media kits or brand partnership offerings. It’s a low-lift way for managers to add recurring value and new revenue streams for their creators.

Do you handle paid newsletters too?

Yes. We help creators launch, or manage, paid or hybrid newsletters. We advise on pricing, tier structure, and retention strategies to ensure paid content adds value without cannibalizing free readership.

How do you measure success?

We track open and click rates, subscriber growth, conversions, and sponsorship performance. For us, success means consistent engagement and profitability — not just vanity metrics. Every campaign is built to get smarter and more efficient over time.
